Imperial Stele Pavilion (East)
The East Imperial Stele Pavilion was built to house a stele inscribed with a verse written by Emperor Jianwen of the Ming Dynasty. After his uncle had usurped the throne, he escaped from the capital. While standing in front of the Taibo Tomb, he composed this verse with the last line reading: " I'm ashamed today to fight for the land under heaven by exposing myself to ridicule at Gouwu, the most virtuous state."
Imperial Stele Pavilion (West)
The West Imperial Stele Pavilion was built to house a stele inscribed with an eulogy of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty on his first trip south of the Yangtze River in the sixteenth year of his reign. He sent Chengyiwumutai, a minister holding the position of Jingyi, to hold a memorial ceremony for Wu Taibo on his behalf.
