Taibo Tomb, being the first ancient tomb south of Yangtze River and also
known as King of Wu Mound or Royal Mausoleum, is now listed as an
important heritage site under state protection. It was built by imperial
edict in 154 A.D. during the second year of Yongxing in the
Eastern Han Dynasty with the Epitaph of Taibo written by
Mi Bao, the chief of the Wu Prefecture. In 1983, the Wuxi
County Government of Jiangsu Province allocated funds
to repair the Tomb of Taibo....
